Import forms from other platforms
Use one-click import to migrate existing forms from Typeform, Jotform, Tally, SurveyMonkey, Wufoo, Formstack, Google Forms, or plain text.
Switching to Spiceform doesn't mean starting from scratch. The Import feature lets you recreate forms from other platforms in seconds.
How to import
- 1On the Dashboard, click the "Import Form" button (or use the ⬇ icon next to "Create"). You can also reach it from the create page, under "or start another way".
- 2Choose your import method: paste a public form URL from Typeform, Jotform, Tally, SurveyMonkey, Wufoo, Formstack, Fillout or Google Forms, or paste raw text with your questions.
- 3Click "Import". Spiceform reads the form, creates it and opens it in the builder.
You can also paste the link into the AI assistant on an empty form and ask it to copy the form. It imports it exactly, without using credits.
For text-based import, use numbered lines for best results. The AI understands formats like "1. What is your name?" or "- Email address (required)".
What does and does not come across
From every platform: questions, field types, options, required flags and ordering.
From Typeform, also: logic jumps, scores and other variables, recall (answer piping), welcome and ending screens, question images and the theme's colours and font. Hidden fields come across as URL parameters, which are kept on the Hot plan and above.
From Google Forms, also: sections and "go to section" branching, the form description and the confirmation message. File-upload questions and quiz scoring do not transfer.
From Tally, also: page jumps, calculated fields, hidden fields (as URL parameters), thank-you pages and a custom theme. Tally's show/hide rules are not supported, so blocks Tally shows only under a condition are left out.
From Jotform, fields hidden in the form come across as URL parameters.
Conditional logic is not read yet from Jotform, SurveyMonkey, Wufoo or Formstack - rebuild it on the Logic canvas after importing.
Typeform, Google Forms, Jotform, Tally, SurveyMonkey, Wufoo and Formstack are read directly and cost no AI credits. Other platforms go through the AI, which uses credits and is less exact - check the result before publishing.
Import is available on all plans, including the free Mild tier.
